The AVR250 is the successor to the well established AVR200. Using Arcam's all new7 channel platform this receiver is a significant advance on their earlier designs.While the addition of two extra channels for enhanched surround sound operation is the most obvious change, the AVR250 also offers a whole host of extra features and facilities to ensure that the product is a natural choice for sophisticated home cinema installations where the extra power of the AVR300 is not required.
These features include a second zone operation, full computer control via an RS232 connector and video up-conversion to enable simpler video wiring. The AVR250 also comes with a learning remote that can control up to seven other components in a system. It is capable of 100 watts per channel in stereo and is rated at 75 watts per channel when using all seven channels.
